Obituary of William Pipkin MATADOR (Special) - Services for William N. Pipkin, 88, of Matador will be at 2 pm Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Marcum, pastor of Fritch's First United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Mark Gibbins-Rickman, pastor at Tahoka's First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery under the direction of Mynatt Funeral Home. He died at 5 pm Thursday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after an illness. He was born in Motley County. He was an insurance agent. He married Opal Estes on Feb. 21, 1931, in Matador. He was a Mason, and a member of the Lions Club, Eastern Star and Roaring Springs Golf Club. He was a past member of the Matador City Council. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Mitchell Neal of Lubbock and William Gerald of Matador; a daughter, Patricia Ann Alexander of Freeport; two brothers, Cecil of Lubbock and Leslie of Lamesa; eight grandchildrfen; and three great grandchildren.
