Know all men by these presents that I Hepsibah A. Brantly of the county of Harnett & State of North Carolina do make & publish this my last will & testament in words & figures following, that is to say:
Item 1 - I give & devise to my beloved daughter Fannie Fisher Brantly fifty acres of my land including the homestead & all improvements belonging thereto, to be layed off to her in one tract as she may direct.
Item 2 - I give & devise & to their heirs after to my three sons, them namely, John P. Brantly, J. D. Brantly & Seth D. Brantly, the remainder of my lands or real estate of which I may die ___ and possesed its be divided equally according to value among them & each of the above sons is to pay over to my son Eugene E. Brantly the sum of sixteen dollars & sixty-six & two their cents ($16.66 2/3).
Item 3 - I give to my beloved husband John Brantly for the term of his natural life, entire interest in all my real estate ofwhich I may die seized & possesed.
In witness where of I here unto set my hand & seal on this 19th day of Sept A.D. 1896.
