Joseph Braddy Deed to John Pipkin, 1736

To all to whom these presents shall come I Joseph Braddy of Chowan Precinct send greetings etc know ye that I the said Jospeh Braddy for and in consideration of one hundred pounds current money of No. Carolina to me in hand paid by John Pipkin of the same precinct the receipt of whereof I hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold alined & set over and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien & set over unto the sd John Pipkin one certain piece or parcel of land lying in Chowan precinct & bounded as followeth, Vizt

Beginning on Peters Swamp & running up the sd Peters Swamp to the mouth of the Long Branch & running up the sd branch to Samll Merritte line and along his line to William Parkers line & so along the sd Parkers line to the first station containing by estimation one hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less which sd land was granted to me by patent bearing date the ninth day of March 1717 as by the sd patent doth appear to have and hold the said piece or parcel of land so bounded as afsd unto the sd Jno Pipkin his heirs exrs & assigns for ever in full & ample manner unto the sd Jno Pipkin his heirs & assigns for ever.

In witness whereof I the sd Joseph Braddy have hereunto set my hand & seal this 2d day of August in the year 1736
