Found this in my Nelson Co. Genealogist (Ky) Vol 18, Summer 2002, NO 4, page 94 Rev Horace Jewell family "Horace Jewell born Nelson County, Ky, Dec 3, 1832. Killed by train on Mountain Iron railway Hope, Ar, Feb 7, 1917. Survived by his wife, Martha Tabita Taliaferro Duncan Jewell, daughters Mrs. (E.M.) Ella Jewell Pipkin of Arkadelphia: Mrs (George) Nannie Jewell Hughes of Benton, Mrs. (John D) Jimmie Duncan Arnold, Mrs Ray Purcell (Ann Taliferro Jewell Hollis), Miss Linda Taliferro Jewell of Hope, sons Albert T. and Nicholas T. Jewell of Hope". "Mrs Horace Jewell born Martha Tabitha Taliaferro on March 1, 1847, Wilkes County Ga died October 27, 1942. Married Jan 30, 1873 to James M. Duncan, he died March 21, 1873. On November 5, 1873 she was blessed with a baby girl named Jimmie for her father. In 1877 Mrs Duncan met Rev Horace Jewell, who was widowed the previous year of his wife the former Mattie Powell of Camden Ar, and the father of two girls Ella about 15 and Nannie about 12. Martha and Horace were married Dec 27, 1877. To this union were born three sons Albert Taliaferro Jewell, Horace Hughes Jewell and Nicholas Talliaferro Jewell and two daughters Ann Taliaferro Jewell and Linda Talliaferro Jewell."
