Bryan County Star, Durant, OK - July 28, 1994

Sophia Roberts, 93 of Bokchito, OK died Sunday July 24, 1994 at 
MCSO Durant. She was born July 19, 1901 at Noble, Oklahoma Territory,
the daughter of Charles Bellew and Susan Viola Moore Pipkin and 
great grandaughter of Rev. William P. Pipkin, and was a long time
resident at Bryan County. She was a retired elementary school teacher 
and did social work from 1942 until 1965.

She was a member of Old Church in Bennington and was a Sunday school
teacher, a VBS teacher and directed Head Start at Smith Lee for two
years. Her hobbies were planting trees and fishing off Roosevelt
Bridge at Lake Texoma.

She married Clarence Case on November 27, 1928. He preceded her in
death. She married Ed Forrester in 1951 and following his death,
married Solomon Roberts in October 1964. She was also predeceased by
a daughter, Margaret Case Anderson in August 1985, a grandson,
Jonathan Bruce Walters in December 1986 and two sisters.

Survivors are a daughter Zella C. Walters of Bokchito, three grandchildren,
four great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and numerous
foster children.

Graveside services were held Wednesday July 27, at 9:00 a.m. at
Highland Cemetery.

A memorial service was held Wednesday at Old Church Presbyterian in
Bennington, at 10:00 a.m. - Murray Funeral Home.
