Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Sunday, Oct. 13, 1985, pg 18a "Two Car Collision Kills Lubbock Stepbrothers" Two stepbrothers were killed and a third person was critically injured early Saturday when two cars collided. The stepbrothers were identified as Michael Todd Pipkin and Robert Lynn McNabb. A memorial service was held Monday at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home for McNabb and Pipkin. Graveside services for Pipkin will be at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Wright, pastor of the First Unitarian Church, officiating. He was born in Lubbock and moved to Dallas in 1968 before returning to Lubbock in 1975. He graduated from Monteray High School in 1985. He was employed by Coca Cola Bottling Co. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Dianne of Plano; his mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Dr. Philip McNabb of Lubbock; a sister, Paige Pipkin of Lubbock; two half-brothers, Joel Pipkin and Ryan Pipkin, both of Plano and his grandparents, Mrs. Louise Pipkin of Odessa.
